For the most accurate fit, take a pair of high-rise jeans that fits you well, fasten the waistband and lay it flat. Measure straight across the waistband, then double this measurement and compare it with our size chart.
If you don’t have a pair of high-rise jeans, measure around your body just below your belly button. Keep the measuring tape level and resting comfortably against your body, without pulling it tight.
If your waist measurement falls between sizes, we generally recommend choosing the larger size and having the waist taken in by your local tailor. For example, if you measure 34 inches and are choosing between sizes 33 and 35, choose size 35.
Our jeans are cut with a longer inseam to accommodate a range of heights and can be shortened by a tailor to your preferred length. Please note that the hems can be shortened but cannot be lengthened.
As a general guide, the inseam accommodates heights up to:
- Size 31: 6'0"
- Size 33: 6'1"
- Size 35: 6'2"
- Size 37: 6'3"
The height guide above assumes a slight break, where the hem rests on your loafers with a small fold. If you prefer a shorter, no-break finish, the same inseam may also suit someone slightly taller. Your leg proportions and choice of footwear will affect the final fit.
